SURESHOT Privacy Policy Authentication SMS Included

This Privacy Policy explains how UPSHOT (“SURESHOT”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the SURESHOT Planner web app (the “Service”).

1) What we collect

• Account info: email, and the phone number on file for your account (used for login verification).
• Planner data you enter: daily/weekly/monthly activity metrics, notes, tasks, goals, reflections, achievements.
• Device/usage info: basic browser info, IP address, timestamps, and logs needed to keep the Service secure and working.
• Local device storage: we may store session tokens and preferences in your browser (example: localStorage) to keep you logged in.

2) How we use information

• To provide the Service (planner features, saving your entries, showing your history).
• To authenticate you using one-time SMS login codes (no marketing).
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
• To respond to support requests and improve reliability.

3) SMS login verification (important)

SURESHOT uses SMS messages for authentication only (one-time login codes). We do not send marketing texts from this program.

• Opt-in: You request a code inside the SURESHOT login screen.
• Message frequency: varies, based on logins (typically 0–3 messages per login attempt).
• Opt-out: Reply STOP to opt out of SMS.
• Help: Reply HELP for help.
• Rates: Message and data rates may apply.

If you opt out, you may not be able to receive SMS login codes and may lose access unless an alternative login method is provided.

4) How we share information

We may share information only as needed to run the Service, including:

• Service providers: vendors that help us operate the Service (example: SMS delivery provider, hosting, analytics, databases).
• Compliance/legal: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.
• Business transfers: if we restructure, merge, or sell assets, data may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

5) Data retention

We keep your information as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We may retain logs for security and abuse prevention.

6) Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please protect your device and do not share your login codes.

7) Your choices

• You can request access, corrections, or deletion by contacting us (see Contact section below).
• You can opt out of SMS by replying STOP. (This may impact your ability to log in.)

8) Children

The Service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the Effective Date.
